Our take on Nutriment

Written by us, from the labels. Never written, reviewed or paid for by the brand.

Nutriment posts one of the highest brand averages on this site: 84/100 (Very good) across 15 rated foods, ranking 54 of 304. That is not a fluke of one good product - the whole range sits high, from 64 up to 91.

The explanation is not mysterious. Nutriment is a raw specialist, and raw labels are the clearest in the industry: mostly named animal parts, declared as percentages, with very little that needs a category to hide in. Our score reads exactly that, and raw as a format clears 80 more often than any other.

Its best, Nutriment Complete Puppy, takes 91/100. The recipes are short, the meat content is high, and there is essentially nothing on the label we penalise.

The honest counterweight is cost and commitment. Raw is around three times the daily cost of dry food, it needs freezer space, and it requires real hygiene discipline - particularly in a house with young children or anyone immunocompromised. The cheapest food here is about £2.23 a day, and that is the floor rather than the typical spend.

If raw suits your household, Nutriment is among the strongest options in the UK on the label alone. If it does not, that is a legitimate decision - our raw feeding guide sets out both halves of it.
