We have rated 1 Rawr food, and it scores 86/100 (Very good).
Freeze-dried raw tends to score well with us, and the reason is structural rather than flattering: freeze-drying takes the water out instead of cooking the ingredients, so the label ends up as a short list of named meat, organ and bone at high declared percentages with nothing much added. Our score rewards that directly.
The trade-off is price. You are paying for the water to be removed and for the result to be shipped light and shelf-stable, and per kilo that is one of the more expensive ways to feed a dog. For a large dog it adds up quickly, which is why a lot of people use freeze-dried as a topper on something cheaper rather than as the whole meal.
