Can dogs eat Currants?
No - dried currants are grapes, and they carry exactly the same kidney risk as raisins and sultanas. One thing worth knowing: fresh blackcurrants and redcurrants are a completely different plant and are not in the same league. If a recipe or label just says "currants", assume dried grape.
