The skin is tough, hairy and fibrous, which makes it hard to digest and a genuine choking risk for a dog that swallows without chewing. And kiwi is unusually high in fibre for its size, so a dog given half a fruit will very likely have loose stools. The small black seeds are harmless in the quantities found in a normal piece. Kiwi is also acidic, so a dog with a sensitive stomach may not get on with it even in small amounts.
